The Cartwright Companies originated back in 1934 during the Great Depression, when founders William, Sr. and Jesse Cartwright started a local moving services company with a single truck and the determination to succeed. The company then grew to a large van line that focused on hauling military freight. In the late 60s and early 70s, Cartwright acquired the rights to an international freight forwarding company and became Cartwright International Van Lines. Years later, in the mid-1980s, the van lines were sold to focus on international forwarding of freight and household goods.
Through the years the focus has always been on quality service delivered with honesty and integrity.
We currently relocate families and freight all over the globe. Annually, we move thousands of military members' belongings every year, including the belongings of more than 1,000 Department of State employees and high-ranking officials.
Cartwright has always been a family enterprise. Five of William, Sr. and Jesse's seven children played key roles in the growth and diversification of the The Cartwright Companies:
Cartwright Relocation Service - "We Move the World" GSA (Government Agency) & Corporate Move Management specialists.
Cartwright Logistics Services - "Simply Moving Freight" Providing worldwide freight solutions with the best rates and quality service.
Cartwright International Military Moving - "Serving Those Who Serve" Residential Moving - "Personal Service at a Great Rate"
Compass International Forwarding, Inc. - "Moving You in the Right Direction" Household goods transportation provider, specializing in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam & the Virgin Islands.
